How long will it take to process my nail set?
Current processing turn around time is 3-5 business days. Orders may be completed sooner, based on incoming orders and workflow. We ask that you allow the full processing time prior to sending emails for completion date.
Can I pay to expedite my order?
No. All orders are processed in the order received. If needing your order by a particular date, please order in advance. Exceptions will not be made.
When will I receive my nails?
Nail sets have a processing time of 3-5 business days, once mailed, USPS will be able to provide and estimated shipping date and tracking for when you will receive your order. Please allow 24-48 hours for shipping details to update.
Loss or theft issues?
Once nails have been mailed, we are not responsible for issues (loss/theft) with shipping, please speak with your local USPS office for shipping issues or concerns. Refunds will not be given due to shipping issues.
Incorrect mailing address?
If an order is returned due to customer providing the wrong mailing address, the customer is responsible for paying new shipping fee. Please contact us via email at contact@nailsbyshonica.com so that a new shipping invoice can be sent via email to you.
Are sets reusable?
Yes! With proper care and storage of the nail sets you can reuse each set. If using nail glue, sets can be reused after carefully filing off the glue.
How do I apply the nails?
- First push back cuticles using the cuticle pusher included in your kit
- File surface of nail bed with buffer
- Use alcohol wipe to clean the nail surface
- Apply either nail glue or nail tabs to nail
- Apply press on nail and hold for 30-60 seconds
Will my nails pop off?
No, with proper application your nails will be able to withstand daily tasks and depending on your method (glue or tabs) can be worn anywhere from hours to 2 weeks!
What is included in each set?
You will receive your chosen press on nail set or bundle, application kit, instruction cards and hand cream.
Why are my nails rough on the underside?
All of our press-on nails come pre-etched on the underside to ensure the best possible adhesion. Etching creates a slightly rough surface that helps the nail glue bond more securely, giving you a longer-lasting and more reliable wear. Here’s why it matters:
- Stronger Adhesion – Helps the nails grip better, reducing the chances of lifting or popping off.
- Extended Wear Time – Proper adhesion means your nails stay put longer, giving you a salon-quality hold.
- Enhanced Durability – Reduces air bubbles and improves the overall strength of your nail application.
- Seamless Application – Creates a smooth and natural-looking bond between the press-on and your natural nail.

What is my nail size?
You can measure your nails using a measuring tape. It is highly recommended that you use the millimeter side of the measuring tape for accurate measurements. Please do not use a ruler. To measure, center the measuring tape in the middle of your nail bed, width wise, and measure from sidewall to sidewall. For additional assistance, please refer to our "nail size chart" on each press on nail set.
